Corporate Citizen Call I

The Declaration of Essaouira Edition 1

It is urgent to sort out new models to follow. How can we measure the success or failure of the transformations that are undertaken? How can we identify the examples to follow so that this growing movement of corporate citizens - those who are committed to maximizing their positive impact and not just their profits - can be more extensive and more virtuous? The questions are numerous and concerns scaling up.

EDITORIALS, INTERVIEWS & REPORTING, CONTENT & DATA SYNDICATION, DRAFTING OF COMMITMENTS

For the first edition of the Etats Généraux des Entreprises et des Entrepreneurs Citoyens in Essaouira, we have created a framework for reflection and action to prepare elements of response, to expand this movement of companies that have chosen to grow and act differently. For inclusive growth. For a prosperous society.
250 decision-makers, entrepreneurs, leaders of large multinationals, actors in the social and solidarity economy, experts, artists, directors of institutions, elected officials, and directors of associations came together. They were united by common values and the desire to take concerted action to implement solutions that will accelerate inclusive growth.
After three days of work, the participants made one observation: there is an urgent need for modeling good practices, sharing experiences and inspiring new initiatives. They chose to put forward resolutions, to go down the path of inclusive growth. And they committed to develop two strong actions presented in the Essaouira Declaration 2018.
This declaration is a report of solutions dedicated to inspire and propose methods to act. It was presented at the G20 and African Union summits.
